Eggenfelden/Germany

Eggenfelden is a regional economical and cultural centre in Lower Bavaria. Here the Theater an der Rott was founded in 1963 as a regional operetta theatre in Germany, which now plays also dramas, comedies and operas. For the past several years the town has been restoring the historical SCHLOSSÖKONOMIE Hofmark Gern to an architecturally unique exhibition and conference centre.

Contemporary witnesses in cooperation with the Theater an der Rott will collect material and memories of almost 50 years musical theatre performance in the town, which will be integrated into the exhibition JUMUM. The exhibition will be shown in an adapted way in the SCHLOSSÖKONOMIE; in combination with a European Conference for museology. The Theater an der Rott attempts to organize a JUMUM-Festival parallel to the Exhibition.
