MTM Operetka in Warshaw/Poland

The young regional theatre Operetka-Mazowiecki Teatr Muzyczny was founded in 2005 by W. Izban. This self-governing organisation is mainly dedicated to classical operetta. The MTM Operetka is a company without a permanent residence and hires venues (e.g. the Congress Hall in Warshaw) to suit the requirements of the operetta performed. Every season it produces new ventures and engages outstanding Polish singers. Its repertoire encompasses both traditional as well as modern musical theatre. A new composition will be performed especially for the Jumum project in Bad Ischl.

In memoriam of the world-famous Polish tenor Jan Kiepura the MTM Operetka has created a Theatrical and Musical award for outstanding artists that promote the Polish musical culture.
