What is a museum?
A museum is a building or institution that houses and cares for a collection of artefacts and other objects of general importance and makes them available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary.
What is the actual connection between an operetta and a museum? According to the ancient definition and the etymology, the Greek word Μουσεῖον (Mouseion) denotes a place or temple dedicated to the Muses (the patron divinities in Greek mythology of the arts), and hence a building set apart for study and the arts. Muses used to sing about the past, present and future so it can be said that they performed many ancient “divine operettas” about the arts in ancient Greece.
